Tom Hanchett (fiddle) joins Parker Foley (bass), Lou Breaux (percussion) and me (guitar, vocals) at a “sweet spot” at the corner of Central Ave and Kilborne Dr (Manolo’s Bakery) in east Charlotte. Katie will sing some of her originals as well as covers of songs by Harry Chapin, Si Kahn, John Lennon, Patty Griffin, James Taylor and Ralph McTell—and don’t miss Katie’s attempt at the Spanish translation of Sinatra’s “My Way” (Manolo’s favorite song). Manolo and Katie met when Katie spoke at one of Carlos Salum’s TheSircle dinners in Charlotte in 2019.

No cover. A portion of the proceeds from bakery items sold will go to “Raise to Work” a charity Manolo’s Bakery supports by providing free birthday cakes to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Both Manolo and Mike (Raise You Up Ministries) will be on hand to greet people and answer any questions about the work they do in our community.

The bakery parking lot is small and has some large pot holes in it (despite repeated requests to the landlord and the city from Manolo for repairs), so enter the lot slowly. Extra parking available in the Sav/Way lot or businesses across the street.
