Singing for the Men's Shelter Breakfast

1 song at 8:00am on a Thursday morning in the Westin conference room for 1,000 people attending a fundraiser…yeah, not the best set-up for a performer. But what a touching event. The Men’s Shelter had put together a beautiful video with pictures of men they have helped in the past year along with captions that told some of their stories. Parker, Lou and I performed my song “Edge of a Hurricane” live along with the video. What an honor to be a part of that morning. It was the Men’s Shelter’s last official fundraiser as they are merging with Urban Ministry in May, and it was a record-breaker. People outdid themselves in donations. So heartening to see such compassion and love for our fellow human beings. I’ll post the video here when we get it edited.
